On this page you can validate that the product you purchased is genuine.
Also as a consumer you can claim the certificate that came with your product, which protects it from being presented again.
After claiming a certificate the consumer has the ability to generate sub-certificates that can be used when on-selling the product to another consumer. This sub-certificate allows the new purchaser the ability to validate the sub-certificate and go through the same process as above.

FAQs

are you collecting any data on me when i just submit a product certificate?:

No!, submitting a certificate is purely anonymous, no personal information is collected. If you register a certificate we do collect contact information.

will you pass on my personal account details to producers or distributors?:

No!, we will not supply personal information to 3rd parties, unless as part of a dispute application you OK us to!

what happens when i sell my product later on?:

You can then become a registered IiG consumer, and create your own IiG certificates to validate that the product you have is genuine.

what stops just anyone registering as a IiG producer and creating fraudulent certificates and sell counterfeit products?:

When a producer is a IiG member, then no-one else can create valid certificates for their tradename!
